The machine has been completely overhauled.
We obtained a list of faults from 2 different Van Dam Technicians when they came for their annual visit to the South Africa.
An electrical engineer worked with a local PLC programmer and together the entire electrical system was overhauled and simplified.
The mechanical components were changed based on what our own technicians saw and on the 2 faults sheets from the Van Dam technicians.

Below is a summary of work carried out on this machine:
Two sprockets on the main drum that were found to be damaged have been replaced by new ones.
One big beveled gear on the main drum has been replaced with a new one.
All Nylon spur gears on all the colour heads have been replaced.
The oil seals of all the oscillating rollers have been replaced.
All the colour heads have been stripped and refurbished with new parts wherever required.
Six gearboxes for all six colour heads that drives the ink fountain rollers have been refurbished.
Two of the ink fountain rollers found damaged and have been chrome plated and cylindrically ground.
One shaft for the plate drum has been replaced with a new one.
Four of the six plate drums that we thought were not suitable to run production with, have been replaced with new ones that were manufactured and balanced as well. The original ones can be supplied as well.
Pin bars for plate mounting have been repaired.
New Allen Bradley make PLC has been installed and we can supply you with the program as well.
We have removed the extra safety circuit that is required in Europe and have modified the wiring as required. This safety circuit was an add on and had potential to cause unnecessary trouble.
All the original wiring diagrams and manuals are available along with the modified wiring diagrams. All the input and output connection list are available as well.
Damaged oscillating rollers have been replaced.
Bearings for the rubber rollers have been changed.
A whole set of print shoes along with counter pressure shoes that was received along with the machine can be supplied with the machine.
The machine has been refurbished electrically by a technician who has been working as a maintenance in charge on such machines.
There is no other noticeable work needed on the machine.
